PinTool has other tools for connected accounts. Start with the three above to verify the connection and understand the result before using broader workflows. A client may list tools without invoking them; you must select PinTool in your AI workspace and ask it to use the tool.

Connection steps

Authorize, research, revoke.

  1. Create a PinTool account or sign in.
  2. Open MCP connection settings and follow the instructions for a compatible Claude or ChatGPT client.
  3. Approve only the requested access on the PinTool consent screen; your password is not shared with the AI client.
  4. Ask the client to check your allowance, then request a specific keyword topic or public profile.
  5. Revoke access in your PinTool connection settings whenever you want.

A first prompt you can adapt

Using PinTool only, research Pinterest keywords for “vegetarian weeknight dinners” in the US. Based on the returned results, suggest three content angles I could genuinely create. State what the results do not prove.

A research call uses the same plan quota as the PinTool website. Empty results are not proof that a topic has no audience. PinTool does not promise search ranking, traffic or automatic invocation by an AI client.

For technical setup

PinTool's remote MCP endpoint is https://pintool.io/api/mcp over Streamable HTTP. It requires a PinTool OAuth connection; it is not a public scraping API. OAuth authorization and protected-resource metadata are served under /.well-known/. The exact client setup and revocation controls are in your account settings.
